adidas Women's Run ~ A monthly get-together run that women can call their own!

Thank you very much for joining us, Ladies! I enjoyed myself meeting, running, and sharing with all of you at the run today! I sincerely hope you did too! Although I did not get the opportunity to speak to everyone personally, I hope in time to come, I will get to know everyone better and learn all your names. *fingers-crossed* I am quite bad at remembering names so it may take me a while. To me, the run was a great success!! I thank you all for your wonderful support and positive attitude! It was a new start to running for some while for others it was a test of where your training has taken you. I would like to Congratulate The First Stride ladies... as they have all achieved their personal best run times today!! Well done and keep it up, ladies!!! And of course a very BIG THANK YOU to all the staff and helpers of adidas without whom the run would not have been possible! See you all again on 22nd July at Suntec City and hopefully we will have more ladies joining us! Til then... Keep running!

Appearance in Urban

The Straits Times section of Urban had a small feature on me today! My partnership with adidas on the Running Clinics for Women was announced. When I logged on to my email this morning, to my surprise, I had two emails enquires on the clinic! My first thoughts were "WOW! That was quick!!" I truly thank the ladies for giving us such an immediate and positive encouragement! It is definitely an excellent initiative to help women get active and started on running! I look forward to running and sharing with all the ladies at the clinic! See you all =o)

First Run Clinic with Adidas!

Today we had our very first run clinic for ladies with Adidas! It was a great start! We had about 10 ladies who joined us for a short run and strengthening exercises at Vivo City. The run was in preparation for the Anlene Orchard Mile! It was certainly a privilege to be able to run with and share my running experiences with the ladies. A number of the ladies were very motivated after the run and have said that they were going to start on a regular running routine while others renewed their motivation for running. It was a heartening sight! I am looking forward to my next run clinic with the ladies ~ to learn and to share!

There's Always Another Race... Another Day!

It's been a almost two months since my last entry... The ladies in The First Stride Programme are getting into their running routine and making good progress. They have a few races in mind as targets for them to work towards. It is wonderful to see the drive and motivation in them to strive for their dreams. On another note, the duathlon is tomorrow and I was very much looking forward to the race as I've never participated in a duathlon before. However, a few days back, I fell ill and have developed a nasty cough. Physically, I am in no shape to race. Guess most of us would have been there... and you start to find reasons to justify that you will be alright and well enough to race. So can you image me finding excuses over the last few days that I will be well enough to race! You can say I was in denial! Hoping against hope that I will fully recover by tomorrow. Well... I don't think it's going to be the case and I have come to my better senses to give the race a miss and give my body the rest it needs... When we fall ill, it's our body's way of telling us that we need to rest. There's always another race... another day! For all those who are participating in the duathlon, all the best and have fun!
