The First Stride Programme Commences....

Today was our very first run session with the ladies for 2007! It was great to see a few new faces among the familiar ones! I can't believe that it has been more than three months since our last run 'together' (Singapore Marathon). It seemed like yesterday!! Despite being in the 'off-season' mode for three months, the returning ladies still exuded much confidence and certainty during their run today. It was very heartening to watch the ladies as they run so differently now compared to their first run session with me... They have certainly come a long way! Their running goals for 2007 have also moved up a notch!! It is wonderful to see the ladies believing in themselves and reaching for higher goals. And as I watched the new ladies, I thought to myself that they too will exude the same amount of confidence and certainty in good time! It is going to be an exciting running year ahead... watching the ladies achieve their running goals and potentials!! Making their Dreams a REALITY!

Adidas Sponsorship!

Adidas Singapore is now an official sponsor for The First Stride programme! And to my delight, Adidas is sponsoring me as an athlete as well!! The sponsorship certainly reinforces in me that in life anything is possible and that "Impossible is nothing"! The reason I am saying this is that... Five years ago, I had a conversation with my housemates about how great it would be to be sponsored by adidas. (I was a great adidas fan then... Still am now!!) That was just before I ran the 2002 Boston marathon. Of course back then it was just a passing remark and I never thought much about it. Honestly, I never thought it would ever happen! Five years later, here I am an Adidas Sponsored athlete and what's more... having Adidas' support in my passion to help women achieve their running potentials. To me, this is truly "Ask and you shall receive!" Although... Everything happens in its own Divine time! I am truly Blessed and I thank God!
