Rained Out Again!!

The Triladies Triathlon got rained out today! It seems like the weather has not been too kind to us this year on race days! Oh well... There are somethings in life we have no control over... However, we do have control over how we respond to the situations we are confronted with or challenged by. I do know a number of ladies who have trained hard and long for this very day! Do take heart ladies! It is not just about race day... It is about the training sessions that took you there! The training sessions that have made you more determined and stronger as an athlete and as a person! Remember... "It is not the destination but the Journey that matters most!" ~ Anonymous. Keep the fire and passion burning in you til your next race! Swim, Bike, Run, Ladies!! ;o)

I'VE COMPLETED THE RACE!!

Yes... I've completed the Aviva 70.3! Though it may not be my first ironman race, I am very glad and pleased that I've completed it! The week leading up to the race was crazy for me... I had a very full week of work and meetings. Everything was packed back to back!! I didn't have time to prepare my race equipment or even think about the race at all!! And naturally... the feelings of panic started to creep in!! Not only was I busy... Training for the race was also minimal!! Adding both situations... Made it very challenging ~ Psychologically!! I had to take a step back to calm my nerves and reminding myself to remain centered and balanced!

Among what seemed like chaos, I always knew that there is always light at the end of the tunnel!! True enough... GOD has already 'planted' wonderful 'Angels' (friends) in my life! None of them were racing but I sure kept them busy in helping me get ready for my race! They were absolutely wonderful as they went around picking up my last minute orders, hunting for water bottle brackets to reading up on the bike course and driving me through it the day before the race. I am truly blessed with them!! My heartfelt Thank You!!

I was also pleasantly surprised to see many familiar faces along the race course of people who made special efforts to be there to give me moral support!! A BIG Thank You to friends who cheered and supported me during the race!! Of course... Special Thanks to The First Stride ladies for getting up so early just to cheer me on!! I heard you all loud and clear each time I rode and ran pass! hahahha... Your cheers and encouragements kept me going!! Thank You!!

Last but never the least... My loving sisters and niece who cheered, supported, and saw me complete my race! I love you!
