I must admit that it was quite a sight to see 8,000 ladies running in the Shape Run today! It was certainly an affirmation that more ladies are getting involved in running! Well Done Ladies!! Keep it up the excellent effort!
With organised races, it is often a good guage for us to see where we are and the rooms for improvement. So ladies, you can only get better from here... =o) The pace for the race was fairly fast today! The ladies seem to be running faster with each race!! This is fantastic as it can only mean that the standard of running among ladies in Singapore has gotten more competitive! Congratulations to all The First Stride Ladies! You have all done well!! Thank you once again to all the ladies who cheered and encouraged me on along the way! Your cheers and presences are always inspiring!

CHOPPY CHOPPY WATERS!!!
Congratulations to All who participated in the OSIM Triathlon! For all those who braved the VERY CHOPPY WATERS during the OD race... WELL DONE!! Give yourselves a pat on the back!! =o)
Swimming has never been my strong discipline so just having to swim is pretty much a challenge in itself. Adding CHOPPY Waters... May I emphasize... SUPER CHOPPY Waters with Strong currents... were additional challenges I could definitely do without! hahaha... But nevertheless... I survived! Being tossed about in the sea and drinking mouthfuls of sea water (not by choice!) truly humbled me in the hands of Mother Nature!
After negotiating the currents and waves for 750m (first loop) and heading straight back into the water AGAIN for the next 750m (second loop) simply took courage! At the end of it all... was it worth it? Yes... most definitely... It was an experience I've gained and lessons of deteremination and perseverance learnt which I wouldn't have otherwise! With each race and whatever the challenges, we always grow from strength to strength!

Running for a Good Cause - MILK Run
It was heartening to see more 10,000 individuals participating in the MILK Run! The MILK Run has an exceptionally large number of teenage participants! It was inspiring to see so many determined teenagers running a race of their lives... which kept me running! It was certainly a race for the youths supported by the youths! Hope more people would participate in next year's MILK Run as it is a true motivation to run for a good cause!
