Congratulations to all the ultra marathon and marathon runners on the completion of your race! Well done! You took up the challenge and achieved it. Rest well now.
I would like to say A HUGE THANK YOU to all the Fifth Ray Runners who encouraged and supported me for my first ever ultra marathon. All of you helped made it possible for the rainbow kids. When I had no time to plan for my hydration and nutrition, you guys just took over at the every last minute for me. Without any reservations, you just asked me what I needed and 'ran' with it. I am very touched by the amount of time and effort you took to print the route maps with post-it notes, recce the route (thrice!!), plan the support stops and co-ordinated the teams. Special mention - Poh Poh, Ca'uis and Lynette.
You were all amazing! Depriving self of sleep and selflessly being on the route to provide me with words of encouragement and cheers to keep me going, a familiar face to remind me of the reason to keep running, and the smiles to manage the challenges faced along the way. Every step I took to complete the 84km was only made possible because of each and every one of you. I am truly Thankful to all of you! I really can't thank you enough.
Heartfelt thank you to Chai Hong and Kok Hoo for driving me to and from the race. I would not have been able to drive myself home after the race for sure. Thank you so much for being with me. It means a lot to me! The both of you stayed at the race site for more than 10 hours just to see me off at the start, catch a 1min glimps of me completing my first 42km, and then cheering and watching me finish. THANK YOU! Also a Big Thank You to Chong for inserting me in your pacing plan for Jac. Really appreciate it.
And of course my Sincere Thanks to everyone who have pledged and/or donated to Fifth Ray's Rainbow Run 2009 for Club Rainbow. Your support and encouragement is greatly appreciated. My run for a cause is only made possible because of the contributions from each and every one of you. Thank You Once Again!
