Beeping...

Been looking around for a gadget that beeps constantly so that Meng Ee can heard the beep when we are swimming. It is an assurance for him to know that I am close. I can't begin to imagine how it must feel like to know that you are swimming out in the open sea yet you don't know if anyone is there with you and looking out for you.

Anyway, we have finally managed to borrow a watch that beeps. We tried it out today in the pool. The beep is a little muffled but audible. The beeps are intermittent but enough for Meng Ee to know that I am close. The only danger is that he can't tell if which direction the beep is coming from. So we will still need to swim fairly close to one another and I will have to make sure that Meng Ee doesn't drift too far away from me.

This is crunch time. The race is this weekend. We have done all that we can. Let's see how we go on Saturday.
